Do you know someone living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia?  Do you wish you had caring support or more information about the disease?  You are not alone. 

Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio provides a monthly support group for caregivers. 

The group meets on the third Monday of each month, except December, from 3:30-4:30 pm. The group meets in the library at Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton.

Bluffton council voted on Monday to have a ground-penetrating radar (GPR) scan made of the Shannon Cemetery.

The action took place following Nate Ulrey’s report to council on the status of the Shannon Cemetery Commission.

Ulrey, speaking for himself and not the commission, told council that he would like to see the council take over the cemetery discussion.

“I want the council to take this back. I would like to see it move forward and I feel that it (the discussion) has gone on long enough,” he said.

The Service Group of Mennonite Home is holding its annual Thanksgiving bake sale on Friday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the lobby of Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton.

On Tuesday morning gas was $1.79.9 per gallon at the Bluffton Marathon. Monday evening's price was $1.81.9. The $3.79.9 price shown in the bottom left portion of the photo is from the Icon's photo archives, showing the same sign a couple years ago. At the current cost of gas a driver can fill a 12-gallon tank for $21.58. When the price was $3.79.9 per gallon it cost $45.58 for fill the same tank.
