MEADVILLE, Penn.--The Bluffton University women capped off a superb weekend of golf at the Country Club of Meadville on Monday, Sept. 26. A 342 on day two following a 343 on Sunday added up (685) to the 2nd best score in school history!
Bluffton University has announced the establishment of the M’Della Moon Endowed Chair in Botany and Environmental Science thanks to generous funding from anonymous donors. The $1.5 million dollar gift will fund a faculty chair who will divide their time equally between managing the Bluffton University Nature Preserve and teaching university classes.
Michael Ray Hall, 67, passed away September 24, 2022 at his residence. Michael was born July 12, 1955 in Big Springs, Texas to the late Ferman and Polly "Ann" (Mason) Hall.
Michael was a laborer at various locations and enjoyed playing euchre. He was an avid bowler where he was known to yell, "Let's all get naked and jump in a pile."
A crayon recycling collection box can be found in the children's area of the Bluffton Public Library.

Don’t throw your unwanted crayons away! According to Crayola’s website, Crayola crayons are made of paraffin wax, which is refined from petroleum. That means crayons take years to biodegrade if thrown away and taken to landfill.
According to the National Crayon Recycle Program, 12 million crayons are produced each day. That makes a potential 12 million crayons going into landfill tomorrow.
The Bluffton High School boys soccer squad shut out visiting local league rival Ada 1-0 in a Northwest Conference defensive battle Monday evening at
Steinmetz Field.
The Pirates improved to 6-4-1 overall and 3-0 in the NWC with their fifth straight win and 37th consecutive league victory. The Bulldogs fell to 4-4-3 and 1-2-1 in the NWC with the defeat.
Neither team scored in the first half. Pirate Justin Good then converted a penalty kick goal at the 61:08 mark for the only score of the match.
