BLUFFTON, OH – Jayme Jarrett, director of financial aid, was awarded the James W. White Award for her work in Financial Aid at Bluffton University. The award is given annually to a member of the Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (OASFAA) who exemplifies the dedication to students, to the aid community and to the recipient's local community.
Anna Marie Beagle, 76, passed away June 22, 2025 at her residence. Anna was born September 6, 1948 in Bluffton to the late Elmer and Mary (Koontz) Binkley. In June of 1973, she married William Beagle who survives.
Anna graduated from Ada High School and later received her bachelor's degree from the Ohio State University-Lima. She proudly dedicated thirty-nine years to teaching fifth grade at Allen East Elementary School.
Anna enjoyed flower gardening, reading and traveling--especially to see her grandchildren in Oklahoma--visiting Amish country and watching movies.

On June 19 the first annual Bluffton Art Walk brightened a rather damp Thursday afternoon. Thanks to the presence of downtown Bluffton awnings and ten participating shops, the event proved to be an excellent way to get out of the house and out of the rain.
