The Bluffton Lions Club will begin to sell tickets for the “Shopping Spree” to be held at the Community Market on April 4. Lions will be selling these tickets every Friday and Saturday at the Community Market beginning March 6. Proceeds from this project will go to the Lion’s Scholarship Fund. $500 scholarships will then be available to High School Seniors in Bluffton, Pandora/Gilboa and/or Cory/Rawson Schools for their fall classes.

Icon viewers have discovered several new features added to the Icon this week.

These include:
• an enhanced presence for advertisers,
• improved photos viewing and a
• sports calendar.

Ryan Lowry is the Icon's technical editor. He installed these new features. Here are the details:

Advertiser enhancement
The Icon improved its “Ad Index.” The index is found on the black horizontal scroll bar near the top of the home page.

All-HCAC release

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton junior Thayne Recker (Arlington) added another accolade into his already overflowing trophy case when the All-Heartland Conference men’s basketball team was announced. Recker earned First Team All-HCAC honors, the first Beaver to do so since Mychael Hill following the 2009-10 season.

See how a bright sun forces an artistic shadow in the snow on a cold steel sculpture on the Bluffton University campus. This sculpture is in front of the Sauder Visual Arts Center.

Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce offers a “speed dating social media” program during its 7 a.m., Friday, March 13, breakfast meeting in the third floor of the town hall. A social media workshop will follow the program.

Four Bluffton University students, who are chamber members, will present the program. Tables at the breakfast will be arranged in four clusters. Each student will give a seven-minute presentation at each table cluster during the program.

FORT MYERS, FL - The Bluffton University softball team continued its winning ways as the Beavers defeated the Milwaukee School of Engineering Raiders handily in a 10-0 win. The victory pushed the Beavers to an impressive 5-0 record to start the season. It was the first game of 2015 for the Raiders.
