Celia Mae Blough, 93, of Bluffton died on March 24, 2016, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Celia was born on Dec. 15, 1922 on a farm in Wayne County, close to Dalton, Ohio. Her parents were Adam and Lydia (Sprunger) Amstutz. In June, 1946, she married Robert J. Blough, M.D., and he died July 22, 2004.
Celia attended grade school for eight years at the Sonnenberg School. She graduated from Dalton High School in 1940 and Bluffton College in 1945. During her husband’s medical internship in Lima, Ohio, she taught at Lima Bath Elementary School.

With all the busy-ness of midterms, spring-break, and Easter holiday, we were lucky enough to get a hold of Sarah Schriner as she returned from a service immersion experience in Nicaragua. She graduated from Bluffton High School in 2014 and shares below what she’s been up to since then.
Where do you attend school now and what are you studying?
Franciscan University, studying social work.
Bluffton eighth grader Courtney McLaughlin's performance at Saturday's Division I boys' state finals basketball game got us to thinking.
In 2011 Kevin Gratz and his "Shirts and Pants" extra-curricular male choir of Bluffton High School boys also advanced to the state finals. That 15-member choir also performed the National Anthem.

Bluffton middle school student, Courtney McLaughlin, apparently lacks stage fright.
She sang The National Anthem surrounded by over 14,000 persons prior to the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division I boys’ state final basketball contest in Columbus on March 19.
The performance was at the Schottenstein Center at The Ohio State University.
This wasn’t her first state tourney appearance. She also sang during the Division II semifinals last year. It doesn’t end there.
