MEDIA RELEASE__The Bluffton High School Orchestra received an Excellent rating at the Ohio Music Educators Association State Orchestra Adjudicated Event held at Perrysburg High School on Friday, February 27, 2026. 

The orchestra is under the direction of Rachael E. Lewis and performed in class B. The performance included "An English Folksong" arranged by Terry McQuilkin, "Lullaby" by William Hofeldt, and "M to the Third Power" by Carold Nunez. 

On March 26 at 6:00 p.m., the Gardeners of the Bluffton Pandora Area will host speaker Deb Bish at Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main St.

Bish will be discussing how grow and make your own medicinal herbal teas, tisanes, syrups and salves.

From the organizers: "Meetings are free and open to the public, so bring a friend!"

FROM BLUFFTON SCHOOLS TEXT/EMAIL__On March 3 at 7:30 p.m.: Boys Basketball OHSAA D5 District Semifinal game vs Coldwater at Napoleon High School.

Tickets must be purchased online at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets or with a QR code at the gate. Adults $10, Students $5  No cash tickets will be available.

FROM BSC HAPPENINGS__It has been so cold outside and some say inside.  But it is always cozy and warm in the Senior Center. Staff encourage community members to come in and share suggestions for additional programs they would like to see offered.

A variety of activities are planned throughout March:

Weekly Activities

Spring Storytime (R) begins March 4 - April 29. Join Miss Beth for a time of stories, games, crafts, and lots of fun while developing early literacy skills. Little Ones Storytime is open to ages birth-2 and Pre-K Storytime is open to ages 3-5. When registering, please specify if your child has any food allergies, as snacks are often provided.

Noon & 2:00 Book Discussions (R) will meet Wednesday, March 4, at noon and at 2:00 p.m., to discuss American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins. On Wednesday, April 1, at noon and at 2:00 p.m., the groups will discuss Go As a River by Shelley Read. Stop by the library front desk to register for your preferred time, check out the book, and to receive email updates.
