On July 18, People for Bikes announced their 2025 Best Places to Bike including a score of 72 and a ranking of 35th in the nation, 15th in the Midwest and 4th in Ohio.
The Friends of the Bluffton Public Library are hosting a book sale on June 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., June 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and June 28: 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Sale proceeds benefit library services, materials, and programs. JUNE 23 MEDIA RELEASE — Bluffton University honored the 500th anniversary of the Anabaptist movement with a series of events this past spring. The celebration featured lectures, performances, exhibits and panel discussions reflecting on Anabaptist faith, history and values.
Highlights included: Public Lectures and Forums exploring themes such as biblical interpretation, peacebuilding, and dissent in Anabaptist tradition, led by Bluffton faculty and national scholars including Dr. John D. Roth, Dr. Gerald Mast, Eric Kurtz and Rev. Dr. Maxwell Kennel.
JUNE 24 MEDIA RELEASE — During the 2024-25 white-tailed deer muzzleloader hunting season, State Wildlife Officer Nathan Cass, assigned to Crawford County, received information that a hunter had exceeded the county bag limit of three deer. Officer Cass discovered that the suspect had harvested six deer, with three game-checked in Medina County despite being harvested in Crawford County. The suspect was charged with three counts of taking more than the county bag limit and three counts of providing false information when game checking a deer.
