Kevin Brewton, a University of Findlay senior sports and events management major, is a summer intern at Bluffton Family Recreation, according to Joseph Beagle, BFR director.

Brewton will assist in planning summer camps, working with events and will also assist at the front desk.

His internship started earlier in May and continues until the end of the summer. Brewton is a graduate of Akron Garfield High School.

Bluffton Family Recreation is accepting registrations for its summer adult coed sand volleyball league, according to Joseph Beagle, director.

The five-week season includes matches each Tuesday in June from 7 and 8 p.m. at the Bluffton University sand courts on Rosenberger Drive.

Each team must have at least three women on the court at all times. Best of three matches wins and team members must be 18 as of June 1.

Bluffton Family Recreation is accepting registrations for summer T-Ball, according to Joseph Beagle, director.

Games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Bluffton village park. Registration deadline is Tuesday, June 9.

The T-ball season is from Tuesday, July 7, to Thursday, Aug. 6. A skills day takes place on opening night, July 7.

Team sign-ups are underway at Bluffton Family Recreation for an Ultimate Frisbee Tournament held Saturday, May 30, at BFR, according to Joseph Beagle, director.

• Double-loss elimination
• Co-ed teams

Bluffton’s local Relay for Life event will be held on Friday, June 19, and continue through Saturday morning.

The Relay for Hope will move to BFR Sports and Fitness, 215 Snider Road, due to field renovations at Bluffton University. The Bluffton Relay for Hope is an independent event supporting the American Cancer Society. Individuals can register to be part of the Relay with a payment of only $10; families can participate with a donation of $25.
