Team sign-ups are underway at Bluffton Family Recreation for an Ultimate Frisbee Tournament held Saturday, May 30, at BFR, according to Joseph Beagle, director.

Here's the details:
• Games played at BFR, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton
• Seven players minimum per team
• Double-loss elimination
• Co-ed teams
• Play starts at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 30
• Cost: $100 per team

There's lots of news on the Bluffton Middle School website concerning students. Here's a sampling of those items:

High school girls' tennis
Any 8th grade girl interested in playing high school tennis in the fall, please stop by the middle school office to sign up.

Bluffton’s local Relay for Life event will be held on Friday, June 19, and continue through Saturday morning.

The Relay for Hope will move to BFR Sports and Fitness, 215 Snider Road, due to field renovations at Bluffton University. The Bluffton Relay for Hope is an independent event supporting the American Cancer Society. Individuals can register to be part of the Relay with a payment of only $10; families can participate with a donation of $25.

Kaleigh Coffman, Bluffton second grader, successfully tosses a Frisbee through a hula hoop during Wednesday's field day at Harmon Field. Click here to watch Danielle Cross jump rope for 60 seconds. She is also a second grader.

Bluffton University will offer six summer mathematics workshops for middle school and high school teachers.

Students who have completed grade seven or eight and an accelerated pre-algebra course may attend the seventh annual Bluffton University Junior High Mathematics Enrichment Camp Monday-Thursday, June 8-11.

Led by Dr. Donald Hooley, a professor of mathematics, participants will explore topics such as number theory and introductory cryptology using pencil and paper, calculators and computer software in group settings.
