Ebenezer Mennonite Church, 8905 Columbus Grove Road, will host  the GriefShare Support Group weekly on Thursdays, 7 :00-8:30 p.m. from September 4 through December 4, 2025.

GriefShare is a 13-week, video based support group for those who have lost a loved one. You’ll find it to be a warm, caring environment and will come to see your group as an “oasis” on your long journey through grief.

BOARD MEETING
Festival of Wheels revenue to date of $3,956.02. Ride to Remember revenue to date of $7,557 these funds go to the bike path. Playground pledges and donations to date $205,816.

Memorial service on August 24

Cheryl Anise Pingle, 73, passed away August 21, 2025 at Story Point in Findlay. Cheryl was born September 25, 1951 in Bluffton, Ohio to the late Wallace and Evelyn (Street) Lugibihl. On June 14, 1969 she married Daniel Pingle who survives.

AUGUST 21 MEDIA RELEASE__The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today, that an OVI checkpoint will be held in Allen County tomorrow evening,  August 22.

The location of the checkpoint will be announced Friday morning. Additionally, to aggressively combat impaired driving-related crashes, troopers will conduct saturation patrols in the area of the checkpoint.

In 2024 there were 10,697 OVI-related crashes in which 567 people were killed on Ohio’s roadways. State troopers make on average 15,000 OVI arrest each year in an attempt to combat these dangerous drivers.

Bluffton hosts Miller City (2-0) in a non-league play, Saturday, Aug. 23.

BLUFFTON - The Bluffton High School volleyball team earned its first win of the season with a sweep of visiting non-league local rival Pandora-Gilboa on Wednesday, August 20.

The Pirate girls beat the Rockets 25-16, 25-23, 25-17.

Bluffton improved to 1-2 with the home victory. P-G fell to 1-1 after the defeat.

OTTAWA__The Bluffton High School boys golf team lost a triangular non-league match at Pike Run Golf Club in Ottawa on Wednesday, August 20.

Bluffton fell to 6-3 after the results.

Delphos St. John’s won with 156 strokes, followed by Leipsic (161) and the Pirates (173).

Grady Coonfare carded the best Bluffton round with a nine-hole score of 41.
