In preparation for the 2012-13 school year, parents and students are encouraged to attend Apollo Career Center's Parent-Student Orientation, Thursday, Aug. 23, during the times of 1-4 p.m. or from 5:30-8 p.m.
Parents and students may visit labs, meet with teachers, pay for fees, books and tools, and tour the building.
Apollo will have staggered start dates again this year. The first day of school for juniors is Monday, Aug. 27, and first day for seniors is Tuesday, Aug. 28. For more information, please call 419.998.2908.

Several area residents proved their photography skills this summer as winners were recently announced in Bluffton Public Library photo contest. The winning photos plus all the entries are now on display at the library.
Winners

Youth division: Sydney Hoff, first; Kathleen Edelbrock, second; Mattison Larson, third.
High school division: Sarah Combs, first; Nicole Edelbrock, second; Aaron Basinger, third.
