The Bluffton Icon invites viewers to enter its weekly high school/college football contest. The first week's contest is now posted.
Viewers may enter it by clicking the contest banner located at the bottom of this page, or by clicking here.
The contest will run for 10 weeks. There will be a weekly winner and a regular season winner. The contest judge will keep track of all players and their total wins during the entire contest to determine the regular season winner.

The descendents of Russell and Josephine Huber, lifelong Richland Township residents, met for a family reunion recently. Every family has a story, and this family of Hubers certain has some good ones. 

Rather than putting it all in sentence form, here are some of the interesting bits of information shared with The Icon by the family.

Yep, the school year is just around the corner. The sign board at Bluffton High School, vacant for the past six weeks will soon be overloaded with events. School starts Aug. 27.

The Bluffton Food Pantry needs some hefty donations soon.
The pantry does not have enough supplies to meet its August needs, according to Paula McKibben, pantry director. "I'm asking all churches in Bluffton to ask parishiioners to bring in items for the food pantry," she said in a recent letter to Bluffton churches.
"The pantry is in need to tuna, salmon, macaroni and cheese, fruit, spaghettis, beefaroni, raviolis, noodles, spaghetti, beef stew, chicken and dumplings soup (except tomato), canned milk, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise. No glass items please," she said.

Findlay High School Pantasia, steel-drum band

Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton, invites the public to its annual community "Concert on the Lawn," at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 19.
The public is invited to the outdoor concert on the backyard lawn of Mennonite Memorial Home where they will hear the Caribbean music of Pantasia, a steel-drum band from Findlay High School.
