Peter Suter of Shannon Theatre announced that "Happy Feet 2" (PG) (in 2D only) and "Sherlock Holmes" (PG-13) are showing at the theatre from January 27 - February 2.

"Gadgets and the Curves They Throw You" will be Dr. Michael Edmiston's topic for a Bluffton University Colloquium at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, in Stutzman Lecture Hall in Bluffton's Centennial Hall. The talk is free and open to the public.
Edmiston is a professor of chemistry and physics at the university and chair of its natural and applied sciences division.
Bluffton University students who participated in the peace and conflict resolution program in Northern Ireland during fall semester 2011 will share their experiences at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, in Bluffton's Founders Hall. The forum is free and open to the public.
Bluffton University senior Megan Neal (Arlington) was named the Heartland Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for her performance at Findlay on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012.
Neal broke her own weight throw school record she previously set in December by tossing an HCAC qualifying mark of 48-1.75 feet. It was the best finish for a Division III athlete at Findlay's Northwest Ohio Invitational. She also had the 4th best finish for a Division III female in the shot put with a toss of 34-03.00.
