Citizens National Bank has named Andrew Foust as Vice President/Internal Auditor.
Employed by CNB since 1998, Foust has worked in various capacities on the operations side of the bank.
J. Michael Romey, President/CEO, said of Foust, "Andy's experience and knowledge of bank operations allows him a strong grasp of our strengths and areas for improvement. This position offers him continued growth in his career and provides us with valued opinions on how we can improve our operations and ensure compliance with our examiners."
Bluffton High School grad Nathan Gundy and his bluegrass band, Honeytown, will perform in the next Town Hall Concert Series. The performance is at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, in the third floor of the town hall.
Wendy-Chappell Dick describes the band this way: Honeytown is a fun and upbeat four-piece group of talented musicians from Kidron made up of Tim Shue, Gundy, Kevin Himes and Toby Hazlett.
Tickets are on sale for Bluffton University's fall production of "The Castle of Otranto," by John Minigan.
Darin Kerr, visiting instructor of theatre at Bluffton, will direct the show, being staged at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3-5 and at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 6 in Ramseyer Auditorium in College Hall.
Dr. Susan Streeter Carpenter spent eight weeks this summer in Yellow Springs, revising a novel she wrote more than 10 years ago. The associate professor of English at Bluffton University will share what she learned "about living the full-time writer's life," she says, and will read from her book, tentatively titled "The Lost Family Store," at a campus colloquium on Friday, Oct. 21.
Ann Stechschulte Alyanak, 1997 Bluffton High School graduate and standout female athlete, now of Bellbrook, was the first female to cross the finish line of today's (Oct. 16) Nationwide Insurance Columbus Marathon.
Alyanak came out on top in a time of 2:41:53. Angie Turner of Columbia, Mo., placed second and qualified for the Olympic Marathon Trials in 2:45:01. Alyanak had qualified for the Trials at a previous race. Ludmila Stepanova of Russia placed third in 2:46:26.
