In its final regularly scheduled meeting of 2018, Bluffton council will finalize a three-month appropriation piece of legislation on Monday. Tonight’s meeting was originally set for Dec. 24, but moved to Dec. 17.
Several additional legislative pieces will be on the table. These include:
|• Ordinance to enable a comprehensive access management plan (2nd reading)
• Ordinance amending income tax ordinance to require landlords of rental or leased properties to report name of their tenants over the age of 18

PromoHits, 141 N. Main St., Bluffton, has committed to donating 5% of its total product sales from January-June 2019 to four local charities, according to Melinda Bowden, owner.
The initiative, titled PromoCares, provides the opportunity for local businesses that purchase products from PromoHits to designate which of the four charities they’d like their purchase to support. There is no extra cost to the business – the donations will solely come from profits PromoHits gains from the sale of its products.
Throughout the past year, Allen County MOVESafe has been working to educate the community on how motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians can share the road safely, according to Shelly Miller, health educator, Allen County.
A media campaign took place during the spring and summer and some educational materials have been distributed throughout the community, along with some bike lights and other safety materials.
