Due to possible rain, the Bluffton Relay for Hope actitivies will move inside Bluffton Family Recreation tonight.
Relay for Hope takes place at BFR, 215 Snider Road, from 4 p.m. to midnight with the theme “Hope, Love, Believe, Walk for a Cure,” according to Lynda Best, chair of the event.
Amie Ricksecker, Jenera, was named to the spring semester dean’s list at Defiance College. To be named to the dean's list students achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and are enrolled in 12 or more semester hours.
Several area students were among graduates at Ohio Northern University in May. Those graduates are:

Four PaintINN’s are scheduled at The Inn at ONU this summer.
The events and themes follow:
• Wednesday, June 20 – Americana rooster on slate
• Thursday, July 12 – Sunflowers on canvas
• Wednesday, July 25 – Birdhouses watercolor on canvas
• Wednesday, Aug. 8 – Birds/water on canvas
The cost for each event is $38 per person with all supplies, food and a beverage included. Reservations are required at 419-772-2500. Special fees apply to the watercolor projects.

Florence May Nutt Elliott, 98, formerly of Bluffton, died June 21, 2018, at her daughter's residence in Vandalia, Ohio. Florence was born April 9, 1920, in London, England, to the late Claude and Ellen Lititia (Farmborough) Tabner.
Florence was in Civil Defense during World War II and came to the United States as a war bride after marrying Dwight Nutt who preceded her in death. On June 29, 1974, she married Lester Elliott died away on Sept. 28, 2012.
