Bethny Ricks Brown, vice president for human resources at Scotts Miracle-Gro, will present the Forum, “God, Ego and Corporate America," at 11 a.m. on Oct. 24 in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall.
Brown is an accomplished human resources professional whose career has spanned across many industries and HR disciplines. Her presentation will highlight and answer the question “When will courage and conviction matter most?”

Bluffton Icon will sponsor two free showings of the 1946 classic featuring the all-star cast of James Stewart, Donna Reed and Lionel Barrymore on Friday, Nov. 24, at the Shannon Theatre.
The free showings are at 1:30 and 4 p.m. and are a kickoff to the Blaze of Lights event that takes place the next day. The showings are also part of the Shannon Theatre's Customer Appreciation Weekend. Watch the Icon for more details on that event.
Bridge Bereavement Service’s Group S.T.A.R. (Special Times Always Remembered) will be offering a Holiday Memories program for bereaved children ages 6 through 12.
The program allows children to come together with their peers and participate in activities that will help them express their feelings, create lasting memories of their loved one and have fun at the same time.
