Leading authority on Ecstasy research

Jon E. Sprague, R.Ph., Ph.D., director and BCI Eminent Scholar at the Ohio Attorney General’s Center for the Future of Forensic Science at Bowling Green State University, and a leading authority on Ecstasy research, will be speaking at the University of Findlay from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30 in the Davis Street Building, Room 2225.

Police pay rates and mobile food providers also on the agenda

Bluffton council considers second and third readings of three ordinances tonight. These include:
• Licensing and regulations for mobile food providers (2nd reading)
• Establishing ranges of pay for members of the police department (2nd reading)
• Addendum to the Village of Ottawa water contract of Dec. 2, 2005. (3rd reading)

The water ordinance states: “The parties agree that Bluffton has paid Ottawa for water for all contract years before 2017. “

Scenes like this one were taken over and over again this morning as the first day of Bluffton school took place. This view is the Honse family taking a photo of Elizabeth, 4th grader, and Anna, 1st grader. Ethan needs to wait a year. More photos and a video are posted today.

It was 93 school years ago. This is the Bluffton College women's Hiking Club. The page is from the Ista and it tells about the club and identifies members (but not in standing order.)

There are many familiar Bluffton last names, including Steiner, Hilty, Sprunger, Yoder, Lehman, Lugibihl, Gratz, Gerber, Schumacher, Diller and Niswander.

You won't see this plate on any vehicle. But, you will see it on Tyler Hochstetler, Bluffton police sergeant's office wall. Hochstetler received the plate during a recognition event in 2016 from MADD of Allen-Hancock-Putnam counties for the number of DUI arrests that he made.
