Senior breaks barriers through theatre

Bluffton University senior Brianna Lugibihl combined her love of theatre, education and social change to create “DEMO,” a two-act play which recently debuted at Bluffton University.

The middle-childhood education major from Gomer explored topics of mental health, rape and sexual assault in the production.

Greg Denecker: "We will use these funds to purchase books for our students in the elementary that revolve around agriculture."

Bluffton Exempted Village Schools is the recipient of a $2,500 donation through the America's Farmer's Grow Communities Monsanto Fund, according to Greg Denecker, Bluffton schools superintendent.

"Chad Burkholder was the farmer who nominated Bluffton Schools to enter this contest," he said. "We will use these funds to purchase books for our students in the elementary that revolve around agriculture."

Bluffton moved to 10-7 overall and 3-4 in the Heartland Conference, while Manchester upped its mark to 7-12 and 4-4 in the HCAC after the series victory.
