Registration still open

Columbus Crew Soccer Club will hold one of its winter camps at Bluffton Family Recreation in January.

The one-day camp is Monday, Jan. 16, from 9 a.m. to noon. It is open to youth ages 5 to 14. Registration is $75 per youth.

Camps will focus on player development through a core foundation of soccer skills and a challenging learning environment.  A wide range of technical training will be included such as dribbling, passing, controlling and finishing.
 
Camp Overview

Phil Sugden, assistant professor of art at Bluffton University, and Carole Elchert, assistant professor of communication at University of Findlay, will preview their documentary “Activismo: Art and Dissidence in Cuba” for Forum at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 in Yoder Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public. 

Provides instruction on setting up a local transition initiative

Transition Bluffton will host a transition US launch training lead by national transition US leader Tina Clarke.

The two-day event is Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 25-26,  at the Bluffton Sportsmen's Club, 405 N. Spring St. Interested people can register for the event at www.transitionbluffton.org.

Transition US is a nonprofit organization that provides inspiration, encouragement, support, networking, and training for transition initiatives across the United States.

BCE workshop follows with Julie Stratton business tips

Beth Bish of Bluffton Pediatrics will update chamber members on her business growth and activities during the Friday, Jan. 13, chamber breakfast in the town hall.

This month marks the second anniversary of the opening of Bluffton Pediatrics, 515 E. Jefferson St. Bish is a nurse practitioner. The practice specializes in pediatric primary care.

A Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs workshop presented by Julie Stratton follows the meeting.

At first glance you see two deer in the Gratz field west of Bluffton on Columbus Grove Road. Look at the additional photos. See if you can find deer number 3 and 4. Look closely at the bottom photo. One deer from the field enters the woods. Two other deer are already in the woods.

And the high reaching made it all the way to 14
