Linda Susan Killen, 64, died at 5:42 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at her home in Columbus Grove, Ohio.

She was born on June 28, 1952, in Lima, Ohio, to Robert and Elsie E. (Conn) Killen. They both preceded her in death.

Linda is survived by her daughter:  Elisha (Ben) Reineke of Bluffton; three grandchildren:  Delaney, Brock and Joscelin; three sisters:  Dr. Joyce (Wahid) Killen Shah of Temecula, Calif., Aileen Moening of Columbus Grove, Ohio and Kathleen (Stephen) Kirwen of Perrysburg, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her sister: Carol Killen.

Wednesday, Nov. 23, is the final day to make a bid on items or purchase them in the Bluffton Public Library's holiday gift basket silent auction.

The auction closes promptly at 5 p.m. and winners will be notified the following week.

The Bluffton University music department will present “Christmas Festival” during Forum at 11 a.m. on  Tuesday, Dec. 6, in Yoder Recital Hall. 

The event is free and open to the public and will feature University Chorale, directed by Jonathan Wey; Camerata Singers, directed by Mark Suderman; Saxophone Ensemble, coached by Adam Schattschneider; Low Brass Ensemble, directed by Roy Couch; and a vocal solo, directed by Crystal Sellers Battle. 

Kerry Patrick Clark will perform in concert at 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 27, at Pandora United Methodist Church, according to Rev. Duane Kemerley, pastor. The concert is free and a freewill offering will be taken. CDs of the musician will be available for sale at the concert.

 A Thanksgiving Day service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 N. Main St., Jenera, at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24. 

The theme is “All Our Belongings are Gifts of God’s Grace” based on Deuteronomy 26:1-11. 

The choir will sing “Autumn Carol” accompanied by handbells. The church will be decorated with harvest items.

The Breaverdam Memorial Committee would like to thank everyone who helped make our memorial and its dedication possible. The outpoouring of support from the Beaverdam-Bluffton area has  been unbelievable!

The American Legion Post 382 ceremony and the over 400 people attending made this dedication an outstanding event. Thank you again for your support.
