Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving from the Bluffton Icon. Here's a Thanksgiving post card sent in 1914 from Werner Althaus, living in Toledo, to his sister, Bertha Hahn, living in Bluffton. The message is on the back of the card. Werner makes a reference about coming to Bluffton. That trip would have been on the interurban that passed down Main Street.
Tickets are now on sale from members of the Bluffton Lions Club for its Blaze of Lights chicken barbecue.
Serving is from 4 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 26. Drive-up service is available in the parking lot across from Family Dollar. Persons may eat in at the Bluffton Presbyterian Church.
