Bluffton's big bird may not have a Bluffton Sportsmen's Club fishing license, but who's going to stop it from fishing?

The Icon spotted the great blue heron again this week, this time on the west side of the Spring Street bridge over the Riley - sort of an idyllic view.

And you thought nothing was happening during July in Bluffton.

Think again. Here's the July calendar of events from the Bluffton Public Library. There's something happening nearly every day of the week.

The Pandora United Methodist Church will hold a free community meal on Wednesday, July 27  from 5:30-7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora. The meal this month is provided by Hilty Home.The menu is chicken croissant sandwich, potato salad, baked beans, potato chips, strawberry shortcake and coffee/punch.

The Liberty Conservation Club will sponsor a catfish tournament from 6 p.m. until midnight on Saturday, July 9.

The tournament is open to members and non-members. The club is located at 1552 State Route 235, north of Ada. Call 419-234-5795 for more details.

Things might slow down in July, but not at Bluffton Family Recreation.

BFR has a summer event for you. Several sports camps, team sports and individual athletic opportunities are available this summer at Bluffton Family Recreation, according to Joseph Beagle.

The Rawson town festival is Saturday, July 9. Here is the schedule of activities:
