The 10th annual County Line Church of the Brethren car show is from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 9, at the church, 4227 N. Hardin Road, Harrod.

In addition to the car show there is a chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Brabecue tickets are $8 each and must be ordered in advance by calling 419-649-5364.

Bring your chairs and blankets and the family to Emmanuel United Church of Christ for Outdoor Family Movie Nights this summer.

Four movies remain on the summer schedule on Sundays July 17, July 31, Aug. 14 and Aug. 28.

The events start at 7 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted.

Popcorn, snacks and drinks will be provided. Movies will be family friendly selections. In the event of rain, the event will be held inside.

Pleasant View and Mount Cory's United Methodist churches will co-host this year's Vacation Bible School from Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 7  to 8:30 p.m. at the Mount Cory Church, 300 N. Main St., Mount Cory.

The VBS has classes for 4 years of age (toilet trained) through 7th grade. This
year's theme is "Adventures on Promise Island"  Excitement and fun await as kids learn about promises that God made to Bible people. The kids will also see how those promises are for them too!

The Bluffton Town Hall Concert Series features Lucas Harnish at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, July 16, on the third floor of the town hall.

Wendy Chappell-Dick said, "Those who know Lucas know that music flows out of him effortlessly. His talent on piano, sax, and barbershop quartets have delighted audiences most of his life.

"But lately, Lucas has been playing guitar more than ever, and has developed a unique and exciting style. During his Town Hall Concert, he'll be playing a good number of guitar songs, with some folk, Latin Jazz, and singer songwriter duets.

In the world of equities, the second quarter of the year was anything but dull. April saw the large-cap S&P 500 and Dow make marginal gains, with the small-cap Russell 2000 and the Global Dow leading the way for the month.

Seth Combs has recently been promoted to assistant vice president treasury management analyst at Citizens National Bank.

In this position, he is responsible for analyzing current and potential accounts for cash management improvements and recommending electronic bank products to increase efficiency for business customers.

Combs is a graduate of Goshen College with a degree in Business Administration.

Prior to working at CNB he helped manage a family business in upstate New York.
