The Bluffton University women's golf team took 24 strokes off its day one score as the Beavers moved into sixth place following a 364 on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021.

Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) fied a season-low 84 in round two on Saturday. She is tied for 20th overall (180) with one day yet to play. Haley Gill (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central) and Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Hilliard Bradley) both shot 93's for the Beavers.

Seniors Marissa Hall (Avon Lake) and Keely Briggs (Franklin) rounded out Bluffton's day two with scores of 94 and 97, respectively.

Linda Lou Levan Lehman, 72, of Pandora, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 8, 2021 at Hilty Memorial Home in Pandora, Ohio. She was born on June 12, 1949 to Ernie and Helen LeVan of West Mansfield, Ohio. On June 5, 1971 she married Richard W. Lehman of Pandora, Ohio, who survives. 

Linda was predeceased by her daughter, Andrea L. Lehman on January 23, 1982. 

Judith Kiracofe, 74, passed away October 9, 2021 at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.  Arrangements are pending at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Frank V. Evilsizer, 66, passed away October 8, 2021 at Lima Memorial Health System.  Arrangements are pending at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

The Bluffton University football team went up 18-0 and made that lead hold up in a 32-20 victory at Anderson University on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021. Bluffton improved to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the Heartland Conference, while the Ravens had their Homecoming ruined as they stayed winless at 0-5 and 0-2 in the HCAC.

The Bluffton boys soccer team lost 3-1 to visiting power Shawnee in a non-conference match Saturday afternoon, October 9, at Steinmetz Field. VIDEO https://youtu.be/ynuo1igBDzg

With the loss, the record of the ninth-ranked Pirates fell to 10-3-2. Western Buckeye League leader Shawnee improved to 12-1 with the victory.

Indian junior Sam Tenwalde netted the first goal 23 minutes into the contest. Junior Austin Miller then extended the Shawnee lead to 2-0 with a goal at the 32:22 juncture.
