A garden in Ada this summer puts on a one-of-a-kind show this month. It’s in the historic Ada railroad depot park on Main Street.
Certainly worth a trip to Ada, despite that it lacks silver bells, cockleshells and pretty maids all in a row. The flowers in bloom are inspiring. You'll find daylillies, rudbeckia, hydrangea, vinca, blue-eyed Mary, coneflowers, celosia, a red hibiscus and several unidentified beauties.

Motter Park, part of the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District, is in full bloom this month. A gazabo was added to the park earlier this summer and just the top of it is visible in this photo taken from Riley Creek bridge along Columbus Grove Road.

I just finished reading an article on Google featuring Dan and Lauren Newkirk.
Bluffton and "old Doug Smith house" caught my attention.
That would be to us the old Harry and Hilda Klay home. Doug married their
daughter, Rosemary, and later inherited the home. Harry was my mother's cousin.
We hold a Stepleton/Klay reunion every year at the Sportsman's Club in
Bluffton.
