Senior Center celebrates 45 years in November
45 years on Main Street.
It’s a busy month in November for the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, 132 N. Main St.
The Center will celebrate its 45th anniversary with an open house from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5. The celebration includes cake and hors d’oeuvres. Following the open house is one of the twice-monthly community meals, which starts at 6 p.m.
During its Monday, Nov. 9, annual meeting, members who died from Nov. 1, 2014, through Oct. 31, 2015, will be remembered.

The annual meeting will also include an election of board officers. Members up for election are Mary Amstutz, David Herr, Becky Marshall, Gene Balmer and Russell Koontz.
November also marks the beginning of a new season for peanut brittle. The first session is Monday, Nov. 2, at 8 a.m. Volunteers are needed to make the candy, according to Tonya Meyers, director.
A Christmas garage sale is Friday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
