The Bluffton University softball team had a nonconference doubleheader on Sunday, April 7 when it hosted Ohio Wesleyan. The Beavers got the best of OWU in game one, 10-4, before dropping the finale by an 8-6 count. Bluffton moved to 6-18 on the year, while Ohio Wesleyan improved to 7-17 overall.

The Village of Beaverdam will host an Easter egg hunt for youth this weekend.

The event, open to youth 1 to 13 will take palcre at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 13, in the Beaverdam village park.

Was an Ada HS grad and a WWII veteran

William R. “Bill” Dodge, 94, died on Monday, April 8, 2019, at 8 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.

He was born on March 10, 1925, in Ada, Ohio to Elza and Marjory Ann (McBride) Dodge who preceded him in death.  On Aug. 21, 1949, Bill married Janice L. Busick and she survives in Ada.
