MEDIA RELEASE__Raj Biyani, chief innovation officer at Goshen College, will present “Demystifying AI Through a Liberal Arts Lens: An Introduction” at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, in Yoder Recital Hall.
Biyani will explore artificial intelligence through the perspective of a liberal arts education, connecting the technology to history, geography and politics.
DELPHOS__The Bluffton High School boys golf team went on the road and won a Northwest Conference triangular match on Monday, Aug. 24 at the Delphos Country Club course.
The Pirates shot 178 to beat Lima Central Catholic by nine strokes (187), and they decisively beat host Delphos Jefferson by 41 shots (219).
Bluffton improved to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the NWC with the wins. LCC is 3-4 and 3-2 in league play, while Jefferson drops to 1-8 overall and 1-5 in NWC play after the losses.
The work of painter and University of Findlay faculty member Valerie Escobedo is featured in the exhibit "Amusings," currently on display at Bluffton University's Grace Albrecht Gallery.
FROM FACEBOOK__Specializing in contemporary interpretations of traditional functional ceramics, an exhibition at Ohio Northern University's Elzay Gallery of Art honors the legacy of ONU Professor Emeritus Bruce Chesser.
The exhibit begins on Monday, August 24 and runs through September 26, with a Homecoming Reception from 9:00 a.m.-Noon.
MEDIA RELEASE__The Bluffton Lions Club has reached 80% of its campaign goal for the All Abilities Playground to be built at the newly established Legacy Park on Snider Rd. The playground account totaled $439,882.93 in July 2026.
The Lions also report that Jackie Bourassa has been elected president.
