LIMA__The visiting Bluffton High School girls basketball team raced to a huge early lead and cruised to a 52-11 win over Lima Central Catholic in a Northwest Conference mismatch on Thursday, January 15.
Junior Greta Myers poured in 10 first-period points behind a pair of three-pointers to pace the Pirates to a 15-3 lead.
Bluffton shut out LCC in the second stanza and scored 15 more points to build a commanding 30-3 margin at halftime.
OTTAWA__The Bluffton boys and girls swim teams each finished third at a six-team meet held in the Putnam County YMCA at Ottawa on Thursday evening, January 15.
St. Marys edged Ottawa-Glandorf 58-57 to finish first in the boys team standings.
The Pirate boys came in third with 35 points, followed by McComb in a distant fourth with eight points. Van Wert and Miller City tied for fifth with four points apiece.
The January 2025 meeting of the Bluffton Ohio Historical Society (BOHS) introduced several new items in the group's growing collection of local artifacts. One is a baby carriage that came with a local family from Germany; the other is a sleigh. BOHS leadership has begun a building campaign to create a Bluffton museum. BOHS meetings are open to all and are held at 7:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month.
Open Chess on Tuesdays! The library has an area designated on the Main Floor for open chess from 5:30-7:30 p.m. every Tuesday the library is open. Bring your own board or use one of the library’s! All ages are welcome!
