Bluffton finishes 2nd to Crestview in NWC

SPENCERVILLE – The visiting Bluffton High School volleyball team survived a marathon first set and went on to beat Spencerville in a tough four-set Northwest Conference match on Thursday, September 2.

The Pirate girls improved to 14-7 overall and finished 6-1 in NWC play with the hard-fought road victory.  

With the surprisingly difficult 36-34, 25-23, 23-25, 25-13 win at Spencerville, the Pirates clinched sole possession of second place in the league.

SEPT. 30 MEDIA RELEASE__First National Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Kirby Overton, Dean of the College of Business at the University of Findlay, to its Board of Directors. Dr. Overton's appointment reflects First National Bank's mission and ongoing commitment to strong leadership and community involvement.

FROM BSC NEWSLETTER__On Monday, October 13 at 6:00 p.m., the Bluffton Senior Center will have a member meal catered by Pandora's Lunch Box. The menu is chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, cooked carrots and peach cobbler. The cost is $12 and reservations must be made by October 8. 

The Bluffton Lions Club will be sharing information about the club's All-Inclusive Playground Project on Tuesday, October 7 at 6:30 p.m. A presentation at Bluffton Town Hall (3rd floor) will provide updates on opportunities to support the creation of a playground where all children and people of all abilities can play and interact. 

Light refreshments will be served. The Lions encourage all to bring a friend.
