Test to treat COVID plan in development

By Karen Kier, Pharmacist on behalf of the ONU HealthWise team

The idiom “on the spot” means at the very moment or right away. Interestingly, another source defined this idiom as having to answer or decide without warning or preparation. This is exactly what came to mind when I heard the President’s State of the Union speech on March 1, 2022.  The theory for the “test to treat” is excellent and if planned appropriately, could be an essential way to continue to control SARS-CoV-2 within our country. However, many news sources are critical of the ability to accomplish a standardized program across the country by the end of March 2022.

A reminder from Bluffton Family Recreation: this is the last week to sign up for U6 soccer. The deadline is March 11.

Announced at 9:04 a.m. on March 9, 2022:

The Village of Pandora and surrounding area will also be without power until sometime later this afternoon.

Grace I. Cramer, 85, a long time resident of Bluffton, passed away on Monday March 7, 2022 at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center of Lima with her family by her side.

Grace was born March 14, 1936 in Bucyrus to the late Ora and Ione (Ebert) Wilson.  She was married September 22, 1956 to Carroll J. Cramer who preceded her in death on May 21, 2008.

The evening of March 7 gave families in the Cory-Rawson school district a taste of Right to Read week at the elementary school, 3930 Co Rd 26. The family literacy night provided free books, the opportunity to sign up for a library card, pizza and snacks, a book fair and a gym full of games with prizes.

This year's Right to Read theme is "A book a day keeps the mosters away," which was displayed on staff t-shifts and throughout the school.
