It's one thing to be sitting in your house, listening to hailstones hit the roof. It's quite another thing to be driving in a car when ping-pong sized hailstones begin smacking the car. It's loud. Distracting. Frightening.

What a week for Pirate sports! The BHS boys' track team finished second and the girls third in the Division III regional track meet in Tiffin on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Cinderella BHS girls' softball team competed in its first-ever trip to the Division IV softball regionals, losing to an undefeated Felicity-Franklin 8 to 0 at Tipp City.

Aaron Shelly was named to the spring Dean's list at Goshen College, Goshen, Ind. Shelly, son of Art and Lisa Shelly of Bluffton, is a junior studying physics and mathematics. He is a 2009 graduate of Bluffton High School.
