Aaron Shelly was named to the spring Dean's list at Goshen College, Goshen, Ind. Shelly, son of Art and Lisa Shelly of Bluffton, is a junior studying physics and mathematics. He is a 2009 graduate of Bluffton High School.
Bluffton University junior Nick Broyles (Toledo/Whitmer) was recently honored as Third Team All-Mideast Region by the ABCA for his outstanding work on the diamond this season. He is the fourth Beavers to be named All-Region in the past six seasons, but the first since Tim Kay in 2007. Riordan McClain and Tony Moore were both selected to the second team in 2006. Broyles was of the 15 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference players named All-Mideast Region.
Beginning June 6, readers of all ages will travel the globe this summer as part of Bluffton Public Library's Summer Reading Program.
Children will explore places from Oceania to Russia through stories, crafts, music, snacks and other activities during the K-5 Summer Reading Club, "One World, Many Stories."
Children in this program must register at the Children's Desk and are required to read five hours during June and July to complete the program.
