The Bluffton Exempted Village Board of Education has set a special board meeting for Thursday, May 23, at 7 p.m. in the Superintendent’s Office to interview middle school principal candidates.
Bluffton school board will act on two resignations on Monday. Steve Amstutz, middle school teacher, is resigninng. Dean Giesige, middle school principal is also resigning.
The meeting is at 7:30 p.m. in the elementary media center.
Monday's agenda also includes approving the list of graduates from the class fo 2013. That list is part of the agenda posted as an attachment at the bottom of this story.
In other action, the board will act upon a five year forecase revision for fiscal years 2013- 2017.
Bluffton council will receive an update on Monday night from Jerry Cupples, Bluffton zoning inspector. His report includes what Cupples terms his successes and failures.
Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, asked Cupples to provide council with the update on his efforts regarding property maintenance issues.

It includes reports from building principals and the 2013-14 school calendar, in addition to several other bits of information about the school district.
Bluffton council tabled the third reading of the ordinance on Monday evening.
In moving to table it, Dave Steiner said, “There is activity in the state house regarding how sidewalks can be financed. We need to work it into the ordinance.”
Council passed the first reading of an 11-page ordinance regulating bed and breakfasts in the village. This ordinance is in place for an anticipated bed and breakfast to be requested on South Main Street.
Dennis Lee, high school physical education teacher, has announced that he will resign from teaching in the Bluffton schools on April 30. His resignation is part of the Monday Bluffton school board agenda, which requires board action.
In addition to Lee’s resignation, the board prepares for the 2013-14 school year with school fees to approve and certified and classified contracts to act upon. Following are many of those contracts.
