NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Bluffton University men’s basketball squad hit the road to face off against the Manchester University Spartans for its last road contest of the 2017-18 regular season. After a back-and-forth first half, the Spartans were able to take advantage of a second half spurt for an 85-81 victory which dropped Bluffton to 10-14 overall and 7-10 in the HCAC conference.
Dr. Michelle Loyd-Paige, executive associate to the president for diversity and inclusion at Calvin College, along with Kevin Williams, director of residence life at Bluffton University, will present “‘Diversity Matters’: From the Authors’ Point of View,” at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, in Yoder Recital Hall.
Bluffton University’s junior nutrition students will host the 2018 Lunch and Learn series from Feb. 14 to April 18 on the first floor of Berky Hall. The demonstrations are free and open to the public; however, limited space is available for each lunch.
Each session includes a 20-30 minute cooking demonstration, nutritional information and a full meal. Lunches will be held from noon-1 p.m. The 2018 series is sponsored by The Food Store, a whole foods market in downtown Bluffton.
Bluffton University students were able to get a head start on developing the critical professional skills needed for the workforce during the Like a Pro workshop held on campus Jan. 30.
“We’ve had similar events to this one before on campus, but this event in particular pulls in resources from both campus and the wider community,” said Kiera Suffel, a junior communication major.
