Bluffton University

Two groups of Bluffton University students will relate their cross-cultural experiences from last spring during campus forums at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, in Founders Hall. The presentations are free and open to the public.

Recounting their experiences at the 11 a.m. session will be Jill Bornhorst and Luz Varela, who were part of the Bluffton contingent that went to Iceland; John Eckenrode, Katie Conrad and Julia Fulk, who went to Colombia; Devin Hitchcock and Brock Homier, Chicago; and Jessica Williams and Danielle McQuillen, Kentucky.  

“Speaking Truthfully about the Bible in Undergrad Religion Courses” will be Dr. Alex Sider’s topic for a Bluffton University colloquium at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall. The talk is free and open to the public.

Bluffton University’s Sauder Visual Arts Center will host “A Brush with Fantasy: The Paintings of Mr. Atomic,” opening Sept. 29 in the Grace Albrecht Gallery.

The exhibit is free and open to the public through Oct. 25. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. A reception will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 4, Homecoming Saturday at Bluffton.

Attorney and Bluffton University alumna Nadin-Sarah Salkic drew similarities between ethnic discrimination in her native Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the U.S. at Bluffton’s annual Constitution Day Forum on Sept. 16.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Less than nine hours after matches finished last night, teams were in the gym ready to go for day two of the HCAC/OAC Crossover. Bluffton was off for the first round of matches and then came up against the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - On Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, the Bluffton Beavers took on the Thomas More College Saints and were defeated by a final score of 7-0. The Saints jumped out to a quick start, scoring less than 10 minutes into the match and adding on three more tallies in the first 45 minutes.
