Livestream - watch from your home - Sunday, Dec. 20

Bluffton University will present its 125th performance of Handel’s “Messiah” at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, via livestream at www.bluffton.edu/music.

Instead of recording a traditional concert, the music department teamed up with Modo Media, a Lima-based video and design agency, to develop a retrospective. Co-owners Chad Stearns ’00 and Cody Ridenour ’08, both participated in “Messiah” as Bluffton students. 

Overtime win puts university women's team at 6-0

The Bluffton University women's basketball team stayed undefeated Wednesday night, outlasting the Adrian College Bulldogs 70-66 in overtime.

With this win the Beavers moved to 6-0 overall, while the Bulldogs fell to 1-3. The icing on the cake is that it was Head Coach Chad Shutler's 200th career victory at Bluffton University.

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) has announced the fall honorees for Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC. Academic All-Conference selections have at least a cumulative 3.5 GPA and must be a varsity student-athlete.

The Bluffton University women's basketball team slugged it out for four quarters before coming away with a 46-37 win over Adrian on Monday, Dec. 7.

The Beavers stayed perfect at 5-0, while Adrian slipped to 1-2 with its second loss to a Heartland Conference opponent in three days. Transylvania downed the Bulldogs 48-26 in Lexington, KY, on Saturday afternoon.

University's annual holiday collage concert Sunday

Bluffton University’s annual Holiday Collage Concert will be streamed for viewing at www.bluffton.edu/musat 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6.

The concert will feature small groupings of the Concert Band performing traditional Christmas carols and hymns that were originally arranged for the Salvation Army band. Pieces include “Joy to the World,” “House of the Rising Bells” and “Gesu Bambino.”

Online sales running now through Dec. 17

Bluffton Bread Company online sales will run now through Thursday, Dec. 17, at www.bluffton.edu/blufftonbread.

Staple breads are $8 and specialty loaves are $12. PayPal or credit card will be accepted. Online customers can either choose to pick up the bread at Burcky Hall (instructions for contactless pick up are available on the website) or to be shipped for an additional cost.
