The Bluffton University football team placed eight players on the D3football.com Team of the Week for their performances against Adrian College on Saturday, Oct. 24.
This is the 22nd season that D3football.com has selected the Team of the Week, which honors the top player nationally at each position from the previous week.
In this case, D3football.com considered all of the games played this fall for one award in 2020.
The Bluffton University women's basketball team was back in action on Saturday, Nov. 14, welcoming Manchester University for the second time in three days.
Bluffton used a 22-16 spread in the fourth quarter to pull out the 54-46 victory. Manchester fell to 0-3, while the home team stands 2-0 on the season.
For the second straight game, sophomore Ella Zaborowski (Toledo/Christian) got the Beavers on the scoreboard first with her jumper in the paint. Points were hard to come by in the first stanza as Manchester led 10-8 after the first 10 minutes.

The Beavers trailed throughout much of the first half before turning it around with an 18-12 edge in the third quarter. Bluffton stands 1-0, while the Spartans slipped to 0-2 on the young campaign.
Bluffton University will offer a 100 percent online RN to BSN program beginning in January 2021.
The updated course offerings are designed to provide a better pathway for working RNs to complete their bachelor of science in nursing. Bluffton’s nursing program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
“The current focus of professional nursing is to increase the number of BSN-prepared nurses working in hospitals and community settings,” said Dr. Sherri Winegardner, director of nursing.
The Bluffton University men's basketball team rode a seven-game February winning streak to a third straight berth in the Heartland Conference tournament.
The seven straight HCAC wins established a new school record and had the Beavers on the verge of their first-ever regular season championship heading into the final Saturday.
It marked the fifth time since 2011 that Head Coach Guy Neal has led Bluffton to at least 15 victories, including a school-record tying 18 in 2018-19.
Bluffton University is offering a graduate-level course on creating quality learning experiences for K-12 remote classrooms, Jan.11-Feb. 26, 2021.
“This course is timely, as many teachers are working with students remotely and those teachers who are not instructing remotely could be at any time,” said Dr. Amy Mullins, director of graduate programs in education.
“Through this course, teachers will develop a plan to organize for teaching remotely and build a repertoire of strategies for online learning.”
