Bluffton Lil' Pirates will hold a Harlan chicken barbecue on Friday, May 7, from 4:30-7 p.m. in front of the highschool. Meals cost $7 each and all monies raised will go to subsidizing player summer camp fees. For tickets, contact Todd Boblitt at (567)204-5903 or [email protected]
The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its 39th annual Bluffton arts and crafts show Saturday, May 22, downtown Bluffton. This year's event includes over 50 craft booths. The show hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In addition, the show will have free entertainment (BHS jazz band and BHS show choir), food vendors, a llama exhibit, a student art show, pony rides, farmer's market, and ethnic foods.
The Bluffton Public Library invites young patrons to dress up in their fanciest ensemble (don't forget to accessorize), bring your posh pet (pretend pets only, please) and join the staff for an unforgettable Fancy Nancy Tea Party.
The event is at 6 p.m., Monday, May 10, at the library, according to Rikki Steingass, youth services coordinator.
There is no cost for this program, but guests are asked to register at the front desk or by phone, 419-358-5016. This program recommended for ages 2-8; each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
