Area families with children in school are marking their calendars for the following dates as they get ready for the 2024-2025 school year at Bluffton Exempted Village Schools.
July 29 Board of Education Meeting, 7:30 p.m.
July 30-August 8 Ohio's sales-tax holiday
From midnight on July 30 through 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 8, save on school supplies and many items under $500.
Thanks to generous donations in support of the St. John's United Church of Christ Bicycle Ministry, a contest to win a bike shop-quality bicycle and helmet from Bike Crazy LLC has been announced. Application HERE.
Nature Conservancy is funding creation of cascading pools

From the front entrance of Motter Metro Park, a Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District property just outside of the Village of Bluffton, everything looks like business as usual on a sunny July morning. But if you are someone who regularly explores the 105 acres and 1.5 miles of mowed grass trails adjacent to Little Riley Creek, you may have discovered that changes are afoot.
The American Red Cross asks donors to make and keep appointments this July at one of several area locations to help meet life-saving transfusion needs this summer.
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bluffton will serve as the host site for a blood drive Thursday, July 25 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Two different types of blood donations will be administered, Whole and Power Red.
Listed below are additional blood drive dates and locations.
New green and white signs have popped up in and near Bluffton marked “25.” They are wayfinding signs for US Bike Route 25 North, which takes cyclists from Toledo to Cincinnati.
