David and Bonnie Nielsen, residents of Mennonite Memorial Home, took part in the Sweetheart Luncheon held at MMH on Feb. 8, in early celebration of Valentine’s Day.
David is a retired physician, a general practitioner in Waynesfield, and Bonnie was his nurse. Several couples were honored at the luncheon.
A meeting of members of Mennonite Memorial Fund, Inc., is set for 5:45 p.m., Monday, Feb. 189, in the conference room of Mennonite Memorlal Home, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton.
The purpose of the meeting is to amend the by-laws of Mennonite Memorial Fund, Inc.
A support group for caregivers of spouses or family members with Alzheimer’s disease is scheduled the third Monday of each month at 3:30 p.m. at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. The group meets in the library at the Home, located at 410 W. Elm Street.
Group facilitators are Tricia Herrmann, RN, and Janet Schroeder, LSW. The focus of the group is to allow each member to discuss his/her issues involved in caring for their loved one with Alzheimer’s. Speakers can be brought in to address specific topics at the request of the group.
