Three Bluffton High School graduates were named to the Ohio Northern University spring semester dean's list. To be eligible, a student must attain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and be enrolled full-time.

Students are Matthew Deter, business administration, Molly Meyer, business administration, and Stephen Tatarkov, engineering.

Racheal Lewis has an interesting way to get students to play scales

Bluffton schools strings teacher Rachael Lewis’s enthusiasm for music – well, it’s nearly impossible to describe.

That enthusiasm carries over to her creative musical teaching method. Imagine getting students excited about playing scales - especially in the summer.

During this photo shoot of a summer strings class with fourth-graders-going-into-fifth-grade, Lewis asked each student: “Hailey, what did you have for breakfast?”

(What does that have to do with playing a string instrument?)

Six seniors have been named as scholarship winners this year from the Bluffton Lions Club. 

From left are  Zane Meyers, Bluffton High School; Caroline Schultz, Cory- Rawson; Jordan Guthrie, Pandora-Gilboa; and Isaac Andreas, Bluffton. 

These students were present at the June 6t Lions club meeting to share their plans for the future with club members. 

Two students were absent, due to their work schedule. They are Grace Hill, Bluffton, and Presley Hovest from Pandora-Gilboa.

St. John's United Church of Christ hosts a district officer training session for area Lions Club officers on Saturday, June 10.

Dr. Vincent McGinniss has joined the ENT Specialists of Northwest Ohio. Alongside Dr. Evan McBeath, Dr. McGinniss will provide comprehensive services for ear, nose and throat care.

Dr. McGinniss earned his medical degree from Michigan State University. He completed his otolaryngology and facial plastics residency at Michigan State University: Mclaren Macomb Hospital in Mt Clemens, Michigan. Dr. McGinniss is fellowship trained in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
