The Bluffton Schools will hold a district-wide open house on Monday evening, Sept. 26. The elementary school will be open from 6 - 7 p.m., the middle school from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., and the high school from 7 - 8 p.m.
Several community organizations will have booths set-up in the elementary gymnasium and information will be available on ways to provide support to the school and community.
The Bluffton Community Swimming Pool operated with a deficit of $12,553 in 2011, although, as Dave Steiner, council member said, after hearing the report, that the pool is still a good investment for the community.
This year the pool had revenue of $57,746 and expenses of $70,300, according to Nancy Kindle, village fiscal officer. She said that this year's report many appear better than previous years because of some accounting changes made.
"This report shows the true cost it takes to operate the pool," she said.
Over the course of the past year, the Bluffton school district has completed many different permanent improvement projects.
