Bluffton elementary class lists for the 2018-19 school year are now posted on the elementary front doors.

See that arched window on the second floor of the Bluffton town hall, 154 N. Main St.? That's the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce office. After a summer off, the chamber resumes regular summer hours, according to Paula Scott, CEO.

Monday 1-3 p.m.
Tuesday 9-11 a.m.
Thursday 1-3 p.m.
Friday 9-11 a.m.

Elementary, middle school and high school teachers want to meet students

Bluffton Exempted Village Schools announce the new date and times for the Meet-The-Teacher Event on Thursday, Aug. 23, according to Greg Denecker, superintendent. 

• The elementary school will be open from 5-6 p.m.,
• the middle school from 6-7 p.m., and
• the high school from 7-8 p.m. 

"This is an opportunity for parents and students to meet the teachers. In addition, students can familiarize themselves with the buildings and their schedules to be ready for opening day," said Denecker

The United Way of Bluffton, Beaverdam and Richland Township holds its reorganizational and planning meeting at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 16, at the of Bluffton Middle School, according to Neil Reichenbach, United Way board treasurer.

"Our current campaign for 2017-2018 ending on Aug. 31, is 92% of our goal," he said. "The United Way of Bluffton, Beaverdam and Richland Township has raised $24,426 of the 26,500 goal. Thanks for your support."
