Have you noticed any changes in your drinking water? If so, you are not alone. But, the problem does not carry any health danger.
Some residents with Bluffton water have noticed a musty smell and mineral taste. The Village of Ottawa, the Bluffton water supplier, notified the village that is it aware of the problem.
A June 25 letter to the Bluffton village office from Douglas Schroeder, director of Ottawa water treatment addresses the problems. His letter follows:
The southbound lanes of Interstate 75 between county Road 99 and U.S. 224, within the city of Findlay, will be shifted overnight Monday, July 2, into the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 3.
Both lanes of Interstate 75 southbound in that area are currently located toward the center of the highway, next the median. Monday night’s traffic shift will move them to the right, allowing traffic to travel on the two outside lanes. Access to all Findlay exits from Interstate 75 southbound will be maintained.
Southgate Lanes and Stratton Auto Group have teamed up to make certain that all Bluffton students have school supplies when the 2018-19 school year begins in August.
Derek Dukes of Southgate Lanes and Jesse Owsley of Stratton Auto Group are heading up the drive.
“Our drive starts on June 27 and will continue until the end of July,” said Owsley. “We are collecting supplies to benefit Bluffton Community Assistance Program’s food pantry.”
He added, “ It would be awesome if we could collect enough supplies for every Bluffton student who needs them.”
Several Ohio Department of Transportation construction projects impact local traffic in the next few weeks. Those follow:
• Interstate 75 southbound, north of state Route 613, Findlay, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for guardrail repair. Work is scheduled to occur on June 28. Work is being performed by the ODOT roadway services department and the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.
