Bluffton's 47th annual arts and crafts festival takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 12, in downtown Bluffton. The show is sponsored by the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce.

Wednesday evening at Sycamore Lake Wine Co.

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce's next business after hours is Wednesday, according to Paula Scott, CEO.

The event is from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, at Sycamore Lake Wine Co., 9660 Mayberry Road, Columbus Grove.

"This is a casual gathering with no formal program. Meet and mingle with others from area businesses and organizations. Free appetizers will be served," said Scott.

Tree commission plants an Arbor Day shade tree - celebrating 25 years as a Tree City USA

They say the best time to plant a tree was 25 years ago.

And, for a quarter of a century, that’s what the Bluffton Tree Commission is all about: tree planting.

On Saturday, the commission with assistance from Bluffton's America in Bloom committee, planted its newest Bluffton addition - a shade tree in the Village Arboretum.

On April 18, the commission, representing the village, received the Growth Award during the Tree City presentations in Upper Sandusky.

Bluffton school cafeteria released its May school menu.

Sunday's Bluffton Sportmen's Club trout derby honors Ronald "Guppy" Montgomery

Tagged trout number 1 is a "Guppy" in a manner of speaking.

Ronald "Guppy" Montgomery, long-time member of the Bluffton Sportsmen's Club has the honor of having trout number 1 bear his name.

This year's derby, the 72nd annual, is Sunday, May 6, at the Buckeye quarry.

Derby details

Trout number one is worth thousands in cash if caught during derby hours. The jackpot is built up with $5 donations to a 50/50 drawing.

Who owns this black Mazda parked at the ONU Sports Center? Perhaps somebody who works at Campbell Soup Company in Napoleon.
