Farewell, 2015.

How will you remember 2015? It was certainly a year to remember. The Icon took hundreds of photos in the past 365 or so days.

We’ve chosen one from each  month to represent the year that’s quickly fading. Some of photos are news worthy. Others are simply fun.

We hope these 12 paint a picture representing of life in 2015 in a small northwestern Ohio town named Bluffton.

Enjoy them.

Ready for some Bingo? This kind feeds your hunger and is for a good cause.

Bluffton’s PTO’s annual bakery Bingo is Saturday, Jan. 30, and the PTO needs your assistance.

“One of the most popular aspects of bakery Bingo is the basket raffle, where chances to win themed gift baskets are sold through tickets,” says Tammy Whitlow, Bingo chairperson.

“PTO has received generous support from businesses in the past years for our raffle. We invite businesses to make contributions for this year’s raffle,” she said.

Bluffton police posted a flood warning announcement on Nixle.  Here is the message:

Advisory: The NWS has issued a flash flood watch. Those along the Riley Creek should consider necessary precautions and actions.

The NWS has issued a flash flood watch for our area. The heaviest rain will likely be late tonight and overnight, making it difficult to determine  and/orestimate potential impacts.

We encourage those located near and along the Riley Creek to consider moving items to higher ground to avoid a sudden rush over night during the storm.

NOTE to Bluffton Icon viewers: Bluffton and Ada Icons, internet sites in the same family, offer a post-Christmas switch.

The Bluffton Icon's "2015 Bluffton Christmas Lights Winners," is now also featured on the Ada Icon home page in the interest of Ada viewers.

Likewise, Ada Icon's "Ada Christmas Scenes of 2015," is featured on Bluffton Icon. Please enjoy views of Ada at Christmas, while Ada viewers enjoy views of Bluffton at Christmas.

We’ve collected holiday photos from the Icon and from two Ada Facebooks.

Why bundle up and brave the cold winter winds - we're kidding - just to look at Bluffton's outdoor Christmas lights?

The Icon offers this armchair view of the residential lighting winners and the downtown business window winners.

Judges from the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce selected the residential winners and each received chamber gift certificates.

Downtown businesses voted to the three window winners.

An extra to this scrapbook of photos is Beverly Amstutz's 2015 Christmas card cover "A Christmas from the Past."

Scattered damaging wind gusts of 50-60 mph
An AEP Weather Alert: Unseasonably warm, moist air will arrive in AEP’s East Utilities today ahead of an advancing cold front.

This will most likely result in a broken line of strong-severe thunderstorms crossing the utilities this evening into tonight. The winds aloft will be exceptionally strong…making it probable that some of the thunderstorms will mix down damaging wind gusts.
