The annual Texas Roadhouse Restaurant holiday fundraiser is now underway
at BFR Sports & Fitness. Gift Cards with values of $15, $25, and $50 are
on hand in limited supply; large orders can be handled on a pre-paid basis
and picked up at the Bluffton facility.

BFR receives 10% of the total value of sales; gift card purchases at the Lima store can also be applied to BFR’s fundraiser.  Cards will be available through December 23, 2014.
The cards may be used at any Texas Roadhouse restaurant in the United States.

Those freezing temperatures earlier this month blossomed into temperatures in the 50s and 60s in the past seven days.

December is a busy time at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center. 

This month's dinner meeting is at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 8. It is free to members, but registration is required by Dec. 3. The meal is catered by Richland Manor and the program is Bingo.

During November and December, the Center is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

Bridge Home Health and Hospice will present a program "Stress from the Holidays." The program is Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 12:30 p.m. A potluck lunch takes place at noon. The program is open to the public.

Bluffton High School juniors and their parents will be wrapping Christmas gifts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 and 20 in the Bluffton Elementary School gym to raise funds for their post prom activities. Donations will be accepted.

Those wishing to have gifts wrapped may drop off and pick up their items in the gym.

Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services will be holding a Tree of Remembrance Memorial Service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7 at the Bluffton Centre, 601 N. Main St.

The memorial service is for families and individuals who have lost a loved one this year or in years past.  The ornaments will be hung on the Christmas Tree and given to families at the end of the service.

Bluffton will be a one-day biker's paradise in June.

Bill Gordon, director of The 27th Annual Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA),
announced today that the 2015 tour, June 20-27, will feature a route in the northwestern
quadrant of Ohio, including an overnight stop in Bluffton.

The expected 2,500 riders will start gathering for the tour on Saturday, June 20, at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds in Van Wert.
