BFR Sports and Fitness will hold a BFR Day of Play and Fitness from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 7, according to Carole Enneking, director.
"This is a free community event that will feature building tours, soccer games, a USTA tennis youth play format, plus information about Silver Sneaker Fitness Program for senior adults.

Seeking "History of Beaverdam"
Searching for a book called the History of Beaverdam. The book was written in the late 1970s as Bluffton Elementary English class project. The teacher was . Almira Downey. I am looking for an original, but a photo copy of the book would be fine. Mrs. Downey lost her copy during a move and would like a copy for her collection. He's back! The one and only, the official, Ronald McDonald will be in this year's Bluffton's Blaze of Lights parade.
The parade is Saturday, Nov. 24, at 5 p.m. Ronald was part of last year's parade and the Jerry Lewis McDonald's Restaurants were able to arrange for a second visit from the famous clown.
